JBL House Party Rewind: Inside Our New JBL Soundbars Launch in Singapore

On 20th November, JBL tore the roof down at the Singapore EDITION Hotel for its first-ever soundbar launch event in Singapore. This day of pure audio celebration brought together the best in tech, showcasing the future of home cinema and transforming the space into an immersive playground of sound and festive fun.

This wasn't just another product launch; this was the JBL House Party — an exclusive, invite-only party that introduced everyone to the new Gen 4 JBL Bar Series.

With over 100 guests, including partners, media, and creators like Benjamin Byrne, Bobby Tonelli, and Amander Sings, the energy was electric. Everyone had the chance to experience the full power of JBL's new Dolby Atmos soundbar lineup in festive style, discovering firsthand why the Gen 4 series has the best soundbars of 2025.

And to keep the vibes soaring, the afterparty was hosted by none other than radio personality Kenneth Chung Kun Wah, featuring a bumping DJ set by Likie Low, winner of the Martin Garrix Music Academy.

JBL hosted a high-energy house party experience, bringing everyone together for cocktails and light bites, including gorgeous desserts and even a Christmas-themed charcuterie board. And it goes without saying that we also had great music, interactive showcases, and fun photo opportunities, including a festive-themed, ball-filled bathtub.

Guests first registered in the lobby before being whisked straight up to the penthouse, where they were welcomed by the JBL team. From there, the real fun began as they explored four different themed rooms. These rooms were cleverly designed to recreate the ultimate house-party experience, complete with warm Christmas décor and each one kitted out with a different lifestyle theme, so everyone could experience how our new soundbars bring content to life. Plus, our dedicated JBL specialists were on hand in each room, ready to guide guests through the incredible audio journey.

First up, guests settled into a plush home cinema with the Movie Room, where the flagship JBL Bar 1300MK2 reigned supreme. This was undoubtedly the best soundbar experience that guests had ever heard. It was a masterclass in cinematic immersion, as the intense opening clip from Stranger Things Season 4, Episode 1, came to life. The scene, dense with intricate sound details, was perfectly realised with breathtaking surround sound, a snack bar for popcorn and pretzels, and dreamy ambient lights.

Six up-firing speakers in the soundbar and the rear speakers delivered true Dolby Atmos® sound. Combined with DTS:X and MultiBeam™ 3.0, this created theatre-quality 3D spatial sound that was immersive, lifelike, and realistic. Backing all of this was the massive, dedicated 8” wireless subwoofer, ensuring the supernatural intensity hit with room-shaking impact. 

Guests also saw the detachable speakers placed around the Movie Room for an immersive surround sound experience, a feat made seamless by the JBL One Commander wireless hub transmitting the audio signal without long cables. They then saw how easily the speakers transform into their own portables, pairing via Auracast^TM with other portable speakers in Singapore to spread high-fidelity sound throughout the house.

Next, the B&W Dining Room was brought to life by the JBL Bar 500MK2 in a sleek new white colourway. This room concept paid tribute to the soundbar’s availability in both Black and White, emphasising its ability to fit into any home aesthetic. Here, guests unwound, enjoyed a curated playlist of Christmas and lifestyle tunes, and made their own DIY ornaments to take home. Soft lighting and sophisticated holiday décor set a warm, festive lounge atmosphere, perfectly capturing the feel of a casual house gathering where music brings people together.
