Becoming the music artist you want to be requires knowledge, inspiration, connections and support. This is why JBL, Martin Garrix and Benson Boone are launching the Music Academy: a space where 30 up-and-coming musicians, songwriters, singers, and producers can learn from music industry experts. The Music Academy will be held in Autumn 2026.

Who is eligible to participate?

If you meet the criteria below, you can apply:
- You are a musician who is 18 years or older
- You can travel to Amsterdam between October and November 2026 (if you need a visa, you must arrange this yourself. We can provide an invitation letter, but cannot assist with the visa process)

Do I need to pay to participate?

No. Participation in the Music Academy is free. If you are selected, we also cover:
- Return flight from your country of residence to Amsterdam
- 4 nights accommodation in Amsterdam
- Food and drinks during the 4-day programme at STMPD Studios, Amsterdam
- Full access to the Music Academy's programme

What is covered during the Music Academy?

We will go through the essentials to take your music to the next level, from creation to brand to business. For more information, take a look at the Programme section.

What level of music proficiency should I have?

This academy is designed for those who are at the beginning of their journey. You will need to submit a demo as part of your application.

In which language will the classes be held?

All sessions will be held in English.

What kind of artists can join the Music Academy?

We welcome a wide mix of genres and talents, including singers, songwriters, producers, and instrumentalists.

Can I join if I’m already signed onto a label?

The Academy is designed for aspiring artists, so we currently cannot accept applicants who are signed to a record label.
